CNC Machining Programmer

Job Duties & Requirements
The candidates responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Positive work attitude
  • Advanced Blue Print reading skills
  • Ability to add and subtract fractions
  • Ability to convert fractions to decimals
  • Ability to use a calculator to perform mathematical calculations
  • Ability to write, proof, edit & adjust G-code for programming CNC machines
  • Ability to use conversational programming methods
  • Familiarity with GibbsCAM or other CAM programming software tools.
  • Understanding of proper fixturing and work holding methods
  • Experience / Knowledge running CNC Lathes and/or machining centers such as – Okuma, Emco, GT75, Doosun, Haas, Mighty, Cincinnati, Star Swiss
  • Ability and willingness to perform additional duties such as material handling, sawing, deburring, cell work and multiple machine operation
  • Ability to use measurement tools (micrometers, comparators, profilometers) to verify component dimensions
  • Knowledge of threads, plating, heat-treating & quality control methods a plus
  • Ability to train and oversee machine operators
  • Able to lift materials/equipment weighing up to 50lbs
  • Able to stand up for duration of shift
  • Familiar with standard shop safety practices
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to document work – make setup sheets and work instructions
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening
